I was listening to the radio this morning and a lady rang up to ask what would happen if your car was struck by lightning. The DJ correctly said that a car is a pretty safe place to be in an electrical storm.

However; it reminded me of a land far, far away, and I have this little piece of advice: If you have the misfortune to be involved in an accident where power lines are involved, stay in the damn car! If you absotively, posolutely must get out; jump out like a scalded cat. Don't touch the vehicle and the ground at the same time.
