When i got my HR I tried Smarts, and Keen Bros in Maddington and Malaga. I stayed with the Malaga mob. I didn't do it in a day though (obviously), instead when I could afford lessons. Cost about $500 bythe time I passed the test, with 4 one hour lessons.
Go soothingly on the grease mud, as there lurks the skid demon! Press the brake foot as you roll around the corners, and save the collapse and tie up.

I noted on Keens site there are three different HR classes. What do the mines require?

May as well go for the open [road ranger] if you are going to get your HR anyway. Bit like a manual and auto car license , all's ok normally but is a pain in the arse when you do need it!
Might open a few different doors as well..

give Lee a call - eight Ball driving school - wangarra - 0414 941 250 - got a really good 470 mack titan - - its an 18 speed road ranger - but you only have to split between hi and low range only - therefore use 10 only gears to get a Non Synchro license - the best - he's been in the game for years - a one man band - that will look after ya - and of course it's better than doing your automatic or synchro only license -in hino's or isuzu's or other shit trucks - tell him donny ex richards sent ya -

Be very careful going to some of the bigger more - commonly named - "Reputable" schools -- they will suck you off for lesson after lesson - weeks apart - to bleed you for big bucks -

I know - i'me a heavy vehicle instructor - that still works in transport - but not instructing - thank f*ck - & by the way - wink wink - you get a truck from somewhere - 'i'll teach ya - $35 cash an hour

Did mine a few years back in Bunbury. Rode down. Two nights in Dolphin backpackers First day did lessons. Did test next day in Collie. Passed. Rode home.
Much quicker and easier than dragging out weeks of lessons.
Come back Jeremy, it was only a joke.

Would it be easier and [cough]] more profitable for RT to hire it on our behalf and run whoever wants to do the lessons, through?

Dunno about the legalities of hire and leaner driving , but if RT was ok with it , he might throw a few$$$ in his sky rocket and we get lessons from a current driver
