Hey all...
While you're all enjoying airconditioned offices... here's where I'm working

Keppel Fels Ship yard... there are about 10 oil rigs being built or refubished here... check out the size of the crane in the back ground...

This is probably the biggest rig I've ever seen the Ocean Endeavour...Huge... Big enough for a double poleroid... Can't merg images on the Hotel PC... Sorry

And finally moi... fully dressed up and dragging cables around a rig in 36 degree heat and 90% humidity.. Fun... I think I sweated 10 liters today.

Ocean Endeavour hey.... did some comms work on that rig many many moons ago.... fcuk makes me feel old

Rig was build in Freo. A few trips I did in a chopper was in an Okanagan operated Sikorski S-61.... gives you an idea on the size of the helideck.
However, FJ and Uncle Ho (MyFX) are 2 examples of people that dont fit this genre but fit into the forum well as well respected members.

Just think, right now i am lowering my tyre pressures for the tuning day and then trakdayz sitting in air conditioning drinking a brew and all that suffering is gone. You will be happy again soon too... bwahaha

Same in Malaysia - same in Jakarta (the better class of taxi anyhow)... there's something about turning the aircon up until the inside of the car reaches glacial conditions that I simply don't understand

BTW - what happened to your feet? Who cut of your feet?

It is the biggest telescopic mobile crane in the world, but you can get bigger ones in different configurations. This one can lift around 600t from memory...and is, as all good and beautifull things, you guessed it...from Germany ....btw, they built not only cranes, but mining equipment and household appliances too...
