When you experience abnormally elevated (manic or hypomanic) and abnormally depressed states for a period of time in a way that interferes with functioning.
Diagnosing bipolar disorder is often difficult, even for mental health professionals.
What distinguishes bipolar disorder from unipolar depression is that the affected person experiences states of mania and depression.
Often bipolar is inconsistent among patients because some people feel depressed more often than not and experience little mania whereas others experience predominantly manic symptoms.
When your first name is Loopy, and that's OK with you![]()
So this thread is about how you've been diagnosed with Bi-polar and you think it's awesome?
Big woop, bi-polar is massively overdiagnosed, and not really all that special. Being a passionate person is cool, but noone really wears Bi Polar disorder like a badge of honour, because most people realise it's horseshit in a lot of cases.
I hate those people who fetishise mental health disorders in the search for an actual personality. Just be who you are.
Well you just dry hump that zanax bottle and forget all about me baby, it'll be ok![]()
For the context-insensitive this is "a bit of fun" in DWTK.
For example -
You know that you're bipolar when your idea of breakfast is a Seattle speedball.
You know you're bipolar when you're a magnet.
You know you're bi-polar when you're cross country skiing.

you know your bi-polar whe you say things ' this is the happiest day of my , and what the fuck has it got to do with you.....'

Bad housemate expiriences, arwon?
I had a housemate that had 'bi-polar' and blamed everything on her 'illness'. Everything from slutting around to not doing the dishes, to even playing music really loud at odd hours of the night. Cnut.
