yep, thats right.
Another half arsed, pathetic crash for y'all to enjoy taking the piss out of me with.
so lets see, previous efforts have included dropping it off the side stand, whilst pulled over by police for doing absolutley nothing wrong, and dropping it attempting a U-turn and forgeting my clip on bars dont provide much steering lock.
some of you may be thinking, "but aaiden, i thought you sold your road bike?" and you would be correct. another small portion of you could be thinking, "aren't you a postie now?" and you would also be correct.
let me set the scene.
the panniers are empty, the final letter has been delivered, and i am making my way back to the joondalup DC via eddystone ave and joondalup drive. passing th beldon BP i notice two other posties have just finished filling up their bikes and are now pulling out behind me as we head up eddystone towards joondalup drive. as the light turns red, i casually pull to a stop, and lift my visor, for a nice little chat. at this point i proceed to mention the "you know, i think i enjot this rain over yesterdays stinking heat" to which he replies "yeah, this your first wet day" and of course i respond a quick "yep" before closing the visor and setting of through the now green light. joondalup drive on a CT110 isnt too exciting, so ill skip ahead 2-3 kms.
we have now just entered the joondalup comercial area via aston street, mor or less opposite harvey norman. as you sweep this left hander, a quickhead check right, indicate right and change lane, to pull to a stop behind a truck, also wanting to turn right. the truck and 3 posties procced right, and the as the truck continues straight ahead i behin to turn left onto packard street when before i know it the front folds from under me at a blistering 20kph! i was now on my arse mid corner thinking "wtf just happend???"
to cut a long story short, no damage to me or the bike.
so yes.
dropped of a sidestand
dropped in a U-turn
and now, dropped a postie bike.
one of these days im at least going to be able to post up an impressive crash.
