    a low-flying pelican distracted him as he traveled north on Interstate 45 just south of the hurricane levee near Omega Bay.

    The man jerked the wheel, dropped his cell phone, and the car’s front tire left the frontage road and entered a muddy patch, which foiled his attempt to maneuver away from the lagoon.
    Felt sorry for him until I read this. Hope it got a gut full of salt water.

    You guys obviously just watch the vid and didn't read the rest of the story did you....

    They pointed out the bird or what ever it was that hit the car just before it went into the drink !!!
    Looks like it was sitting on the side of the road and decided to fly off as he came past.
    didn't look like a pelican though..... Just like a white blob really :-)

    You mean those white posts, right? Either that or Omega Bay has the most ethiopian birds in existence.

    And yes, I read the two stories. The guys filming weren't pointing out a bird, they were poiting out a multi-million-dollar car hitting the dirt and leaving the road.
