    Hyo rep. :S

So after what some might call an eventful country run, the hyo's reputation has struck and taken another rider victim. Putting along in 4th at around, the power suddenly disappears and the engine drops out, and I'm stuck, alone, in the middle of nowhere after being left behind. After a while the group comes back and with a bit of coasting and what I could get out of the engine, I made it to the servo. Now waiting for the tow. Thanks to watt one, sparks, take two, killswitch and Michael for putting up with the attempts at making it back to Perth, see you all out on the road hopefully soon.

Ps: Cue Hyo bashing, after this incident I can't wait to get rid of it

Ah bugger I thought you guys were following us when we left the servo, obviously not, glad to hear you managed to get a tow, we're still trying to get Steve's bike sorted out, though Blazon might have gotten a towie now

Its probably something stupid, for a 2011 hyo seems weird it broke so soon. My hyo went on a few long runs, and a country run fared fine nothing ever went wrong except the general maintenance and new plugs. Its just luck of the draw maybe, u got a defected bike or something silly broke on it. I dont see why they have such a bad rap, since they are getting better build quality and new tech to keep-up with the times.

Might need to update the ECU, out of the factory some of them had problems with stalling under power. Brother had a similar issue and was sorted with an easy ecu update. Just take it back to the dealer and they will sort you out.

My mate just purchased a Hyo, so he's gonna love it when I tell him about this.

Sucks that it happened to you though man, but it could be worse. At least people realised that you were MIA and went back for you.

Truck is here, bike on the back and heading home, thanks all for the help and hopefully I'll be back on the roads soon. To add to today's events, just discovered I got really sunburnt while waiting at the crash and for the truck

That's pretty poor form to be left behind like that. Might pay to recheck those you ride with, are worth riding with.

    Where was your TEC???

Hope it's simply an ECU issue like mentioned, but sounds also like lost compression.

this is why i prefer smaller groups. 1 bike missing from 4 is more noticeable compaired to 1 bike from 10 or 20.

it actually sounds like it could be electrical or fuel blockage. some simple things to check atleast.

Towly ended up being the TEC on the Jarrahdale to Byford run, we had 5 different TEC's for the different sections of road, just the way it turned out, with sickness, the unfortunate off and other bike issues, sometimes happens

Hope it's an easy fix for your bike
