Would suck if it was the stand switch, 5 minute roadside fix even without tools and been bringing a lot of hyos to a halt. They don't make em like they used to...... which for a hyo could be considered a good thing![]()

Do you remember the good old days before the internet?
when arguments were only entered into by the physically or intellectually able.
I was in the middle of the pack when it happened and 3 people went past me thinking i was waving them on when in reality i was shaking my head and telling them to stop
On another note, after calling dale brittons they've told me i have to get the bike to the shop myself, and as i don't have a ute or a trailer am in need of a tow to the shop. If anyone can help chuck me a PM, will pay for a bit of fuel and a bite to eat afterwards. Thanks

Today's mighty oak is just yesterday's nut that held its ground...
Do they have a form of Whoflung roadside assist like the other manufacturers?

Well like i've previously said, i had 5,500 K's on mine before totally it..and there was nothing wrong with it. Like another guy said, Ride them like shit and they behave good. Or something like that..Break in ? What's a break in..i just rode mine hard.
Work to ride, and ride to work.

All good for a tow now, with the RAC i get two tows per incident. After talking to the bloke who stopped for me near jarrahdale who was a bike mechanic and with my dealings with dale britton's workshop, i dont have anything good to say about them, others may have had a different experience but having warranty means sweet fuck all to them. The issue is most likely electrical because when it first broke down, it would start but as soon as it was stood up properly it cut off, bike is going in tomorrow morning to be fixed. At first i was, as Logie called me, "the hyo ambassador" now, all i want is a jap bike :S 7 months to go then i guess..

Now you are sort of correct, we were going from Jarrahdale to Byford on Nettleton, we had already lost our official TEC from the previous leg, Towly was the slowest bike on the day, so would have ended up being TEC sooner or later on that stretch of road, as I said we were at the servo and the guys were parked up, a cager came and told the guys that a white bike was on the side of the road, the guys then high tailed it back to him, which is what would happen once it was discovered that someone was missing.
After the accident I'm sure everyone was well aware of the importance of waiting for everyone, but as the group had sort of broken up into many 'cells' by then, with most of the first crew gone, it is pretty hard to keep it altogether after waiting around for over an hour, Towly was also next to last on the previous stretch.
All in all I think everyone did a top job the whole day with filling in as we lost TEC's, yeh I know the TEC should hang around and be there the whole ride, but as previously said, it was just one of those days.
Hope you're back on it quickly Towly

Thanks for explaining Stonie![]()
I would have liked to have made this ride but took the choice of ARD so I can now do tuning days yay!

i had 09 and put 12000kms on it and only had it at workshop for service
not everyone wants to pickup trash from the side of the road, leave it for the crims and the junkies.
That's bad news Towly and I have had the same problems with Hyosung Warranty at Dale Brittons. The 650 I have burnt out the Alternator, Regulator and Starter solenoid over 2 years 60k/km. The regulator was outside of warranty so I did a deal to swap the warranty petrol tank (split overflow pipe) that never arrived after about 6 months of waiting. The petrol tank didn't bother me, but as they never fixed the electrical problem, just replaced the parts it burnt out, I was unimpressed at thier service. Aside from the electrics the bike was a fine city bike, but struggled 2up in the country.
Enter the GSX1400K8, 2 years 60k/km and not one problem...except demerit points. You can't beat Jap bikes for reliability.
