It depends on the quality of the ink and the position. I proudly wear 7 tats... In 40 years I'll hopefully have enough dress sense to be wearing enough clothing to cover them... Big fan of decent ink.

Why Mr Grumpy Pants?
Not all tattooed chicks are doing the retro thing, nor are doing retro modelling. Lot's of others out there, that won't fit in the category of retro.

I'm with Lats - it doesnt matter what your tatts LOOK like when your become old and grey. Their significance and meaning does not change over time. You committ to them in the first place and you wear them with pride forever. If you get a tattoo purely for visual impact and others opinion/approval then youre getting it for the wrong reason in the first place.

I personally don't care for 99% of the ink on most women , HOWEVER if it is significant to them then all good.

I only ask that they think of the real significance or relevance of the same tatt in 5, 10 or 50 years time.

Yep , it's your body and you should be able to do with it what you will. What the possible alarm with this is the girls who need to post up to defend their choice of why they get/got inked.
If it has a definite significance , there should be no reason defend yourself.

When you are next thinking about what ink goes onto your body , WILL it retain the importance to you that it does now in the longer term?
