ASHLEY Greene, star of teenage vampire movie series Twilight, has instructed lawyers to begin legal action after nude photos of her appeared on the internet.

The 22-year-old appeared at the Teen Choice Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday, where she picked up the Choice Award for Fresh Face Female, Popcrunch reports.

“The photos in question, which appear to be of our client, are illegal and are being unlawfully displayed,” Greene's lawyer said in a statement.

“Our client intends to take legal action.”
