The funeral cortege will arrive at the Pinnaroo Valley memorial cemetery Whitfords Ave,Padbury for a cremation service at 1pm on Wednesday 5/05/04.

I'm not sure at this stage if there will be a chance to ride with Leif to the Cemetery but any details regarding this will be posted here.

U dont need to ask permission to go to a funeral.

If its been advertised then it is welcoming anyone wishing to show their respect to the man.

If it hasnt been advertised or they have said specifically close family only.... then diff story.

I think the family would very pleased if it were a big turnout.

Nothing short of his fathers '1 inch punch' would stop me from being there.

For everyones info, I received an email from Leif's father - Roger Smart and he said that the PSB community would be most welcome to attend the funeral on Wednesday.

He also also passed on his thanks for Perth Bike Community careing for his son and passed on his best wishes to us all.

An organised ride is being worked out right now to follow the cortege. It will involve being around the Subiaco area probably about 11:30am tomorrow. More details will follow. I will call everyone and announce details on here soon.

*UPDATE*

- Funeral Ride for Leif Smart -

Meet Point: Scarborough Carpark
Meet Time: 10:00 - 10:30am
Leaving: 11:00am SHARP! (Please don't be late as we will not wait)

Details:

From here, we will ride to Subiaco to the Funeral Parlor, where we will then follow the cortage, leaving the parlor at 12:10pm. We will then bypass the residents' place to arrive in Warwick at 12:40pm. We will then proceed to follow to Pinnaroo Cemetary.
EVERYONE is welcome, so please help to make this a very honorable occasion by joining us in the ride. We would like to see a large turnout!

I will try to post details as to where the ride will take us(with map diagrams) and we will have people within the pack who will know where we are going.
