In Memory of Evan


I am a friend of Evan's speaking on behalf of his family and loved ones.

I would like firstly to thank you all on behalf of Evan's family and loved ones for your support for Evan. I would like you all to know he fought like a son of a bitch to survive.

Evan's family has asked me to organise a memorial ride.

Details are to be confirmed as communications are, as you all can understand, tricky at tragic times such as these. As soon as I know I will finalise the details.

However at this stage a ride will be held in honour of Evan prior to his funeral which is scheduled for this Sat 28th March 1000hrs At the Pinaroo cemetary on Whitfords ave, West of wanneroo rd.

The ride will meet elsewhere, tba, I will meet with the family shortly to finalise details as per their wishes.

Thanks to all, I will update asap.

Please post your interest and I hope you can attend the ride in honour of Evan.

Hi All

Thanks heaps for your support for Evan and his family.
They are deeply touched and grateful and are coping as well as can be expected.
A wonderful loving family...
Tragic indeed!

The plan as per family wishes and what Evan would have liked is as follows:

Meet at 'Caltex Joondalup, Cnr Joondalup Dve and Cord St prior to 0800hrs' to leave sharp at 0800hrs.

We will ride south to 'Funeralcare, 303 Railway Pde, Maylands'.
We must be there no later than 0845hrs .

We will ride with Evan, following the hearse back up to
'Pinaroo Chapel, Pinaroo Valley Memorial Park, Whitfords ave, Padbury'
for the service which will start 1000hrs.

Evan's family and loved ones have invited all to attend if they wish...It is an open funeral, and those that wish/need to leave will leave with their gratitude and well wishes.

The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
The only truths I know is that a Large Ute with a Huge Trailer made a right turn in front of Evan who was travelling at the speed limit.
The police praised his riding skills. It seems he nearly stopped in time!
A freaky impact to the head was the cause. He was a great rider, confronted with a nightmare scenario which would have probably caught any one of us out.
Our biggest respects to Evan can be given through us remembering him and ensuring our vigilance and preparation is always at the forefront of our minds / riding.

To those that wish to come but cannot, thankyou kindly also.

See you there and thanks again, this would have meant a lot to Evan (he well deserves it) and it means a whole lot to his loved ones.
