Unfortunately the crowd wasn't told the severity of the situation, only that the race was cancelled. I think it would've been a different story altogether if they were informed.

It was an absolutely sickening accident. I hope Edwards and Rossi get all the support they can.

fucking awful news, Just getting into MOTOGP and saw this guy take 2nd last race and now he's gone.

+1 Figured it was going to be bad when I saw the helmet rolling along, had to replay it a couple of times as I was amazed that the helmet came off

He must have taken a huge hit to rip the strap out of the helmet (can see it as it's rolling
