As the topic says i propose an anual ride (the sort with bbqs and other fun stuff) to be held in memory of not just fallen forum riders but all the riders.
Let me know that u think?

Sounds like a good idea Callun, but the date should be significant too ie,26/04/04 Leif's passing.( or Saturday/Sunday closest ) although this day was a public holiday.
Being a public holiday could be a good thing. I like it!Sounds like a good idea Callun, but the date should be significant too ie,26/04/04 Leif's passing.( or Saturday/Sunday closest ) although this day was a public holiday.
Campo look up there's a poll now.
Rog...... and anytime mate!Campo look up there's a poll now.
See if you can get some other bike clubs interested, WAR, BMW club, Ulysses, maybe talk to the MRA as well? Make it big and bold.
Everyone at least knows of someone who's died on a bike, if not known someone that has.
Publicise it right and it could end up big like the charity ride. Hows that for a memorial? Would put PSB on the map and in a very favourable light.
GOOD idea cal!
Yeh and the date will make it easier, or harderdepends on ur angle.
but still and excellent idea, im in.
I say not even a ride just a BBQ in place significant to the day (like scabs, freo etc.. ) .. Thoughts?
Love
Nick
I think its a great idea, catch up over a bbq, talk about good ol times and plan for the future fun too!
Please understand I am not Trolling with this comment ...See if you can get some other bike clubs interested, WAR, BMW club, Ulysses, maybe talk to the MRA as well? Make it big and bold.

Doorman, you have a good idea here, I dont believe though it should be advertised. Those whom know about will turn up. I am sure you will find there will always be a good cross member community of the WAR, BMW, MRA, etc so that the word will get around.
If such a meet becomes, Its a group event, not just a PSB and we all get to apprieciate the ride and its reason for being. PSB has a nice place on the map in Perth, to score points in this way "I personally" feel would be a dishonour on the reason we would ride and the respect we hold for our fallen mates.
Just my 2 cents and if anyone disagrees, I understand.
Regards
Gustav

Sorry Gustav but I disagree. With the ride yesterday, people came who never had the chance to meet Leif. They came out of respect. And I'm sure this is what Callen is on about. A ride out of respect, and honouring a fallen comrade somewhere, sometime.
Great idea Callen, and doorman, I think PSB will get MUCH kudos if we include WAR and the other clubs involved, and yeah, a public holiday would be good...

Yeah sounds good, fortunately I have been lucky enough so far not to have personally known any of the fallen commrades but am definately in for paying of da respects.
Count the Box in when organising and I'm not working.

Kim Britton Kawasaki: 91 Dixon Rd, Rockingham, Ph: 9592-1113 ...
I was thinking probably the anzac day long weekend would make a good starting point.
Head out on the sunday, go somewhere and bbq, camp, party on to our hearts content till monday morning (for those that wanna camp)
I do very much like the idea of a charity donation. perhaps to PMH or cancer council, or suicide prevention or something like that.
Will organise the usual heads to be bashed together and we will come up with something... Watch this space!
Yeah a camp over would be good, Everyone go for a ride down south or something and camp somewhere .....
Sweet .....![]()

Well I think a ride remembering our fallen mates is a great idea, involving other clubs around perth an even better one. I wouldn't have a clue when a suitable date would be, maybe a weekend around september-october perhaps.
Ever since my mate passed away about 6 weeks ago, I haven't done much riding, only just getting the bike out recently. I can't help but remember him every time I ride now. He was a brother to me.
Leif's(Dragon's) birthday was the 8th of september, maybe use that as a suitable date( I haven't got a calendar handy, so I don't know if that would be a weekend or not).
I know a ride wouldn't be just honouring any particular rider, but everyone who rode a bike, who is no longer with us.
I was thinking of twelve months on from Leif's passing, 26/04/04 correct me if I'm wrong on the exact date.
This was also the Anzac weekend so I guess the rememberance theme might also extend to other fallen people too.
And because it's over a long weekend it might allow an overnight stop to reflect with the help of some alcohol.... or just enjoy a night round the camp fire type of thing...
So I guess if we decide on a date we can then plan the type of ride/weekend by people offering suggestions through here or a similar thread.
Yeah I think the date's correct, but I've been trying to forget that day, so I'm not 100% sure.
I think many of us feel like were warrior's and hero's when were riding, but as a soldier, I find remembering anything other that our fallen srevicemen on ANZAC day(and the long weekend) a bit odd. :?
But I understand where your coming from. And I do support the idea of that particular long weekend. Any time's good really, As long as there is a time! We need to remember them, as car drivers don't!
I doubt that I would ever be able to attend such an event anyway, even when a suitable day(s) is chosen, due to the fact that I'm stuck over east with the army.
And usually, I'm getting pissed and playing two-up on ANZAC day.![]()
And usually, It take's me the rest of the weekend to recover.![]()
I think this is fantastic idea. A few of my friends and i catch up on 07/01 every year to remember a fallen buddy... but its not needed to be a sombre occasion... at least he passed doing what he loved... better than being miserable lying around. I know he would love us having a ride to remember him and others... all doing what we love... for it 100%!!!!
tba.....
