Rider Down Leda 02/09 - Fatal

Hi guys + Gals,

Just heard from the parents that a friend of theirs was involved in a fatal Bike accident in Leda on Tuesday night. They pulled the plug on him this morning.

Brian "LaLa" Gill was hit by a speeding motorist and was thrown about 70m from the point of impact, landing 100m from his home. The female motorist was turning onto Sloan drive when she collided with his bike. She was later taken into custody by the constabulary.

He was a big man with a big heart. As he was an organ donor, 12 people were lucky enough to benefit from his families loss.

Regards and thoughts to the Gill family.

Brian was my Mum's cousin and Pop's nephew. Pop doesn't know yet because he is in hospital waiting for surgery and it could affect his recovery.

Although i never met him, needless to say, it has shaken the whole family up.

I will pass on your kind words so that the family know how highly regarded he was, and that his generosity to donate his organs was commended and didn't go un noticed.

Thanks all.
