I rode through at 4:50pm and an eastbound rider on Welshpool Road has collided with a vehicle turning right into Hale Road. Bike was a blue Yamaha.
To the FRS guys performing CPR on the rider, you guys are legends.
Hope the rider pulls through.

I just went thru about 15 mins ago (6:05pm), there was an ambulance still there.
Looked pretty bad from what I could see, bike upside down
I briefly spoke to one of the cops there, and he asked if I knew the rider. I asked if he was ok, said something to the effect of 'not good'
I hope its not as bad as I imagine![]()

Road still blocked at 6.30. Police photographer in attendance. I am fearing this may be a bad outcome.

Have you won the game recently?? Post here
If you know the intersection, bike had passed roe hwy, heading south on Welshpool towards Tonking, coming ove the hill.
Officer said that the lights "were red". biker has tried to gun it through the amber lights, but there was a red ute with a trailer trying to turn across traffic big long black skid mark where rider has realised and dropped anchors. Officer says he is unsure of who is at fault because witnesses say the lights were red......
I'd suppose the red ute driver should have waited, perhaps he thought the motorcyclist was going to stop.....
*shrugs*

Unfortunately I figured something like that may have occurred as the bike had obviously hit the ute very hard. Given I did the first post and out of respect to the rider I kept it fairly basic. As I said, the firies doing CPR were legends in my view. I was splitting between the banked up traffic and got to the front expecting to see a broken down truck but saw what I saw which brought back a few sensitive memories of past events. I was looking at the skid mark, the ute, the bike and then the rider - one of the firies looked up at me and shook his head as if to say he was doing what he could but it was not good.
Regardless of who made a bad decision at the time, a rider has likely died so my thoughts are with his family and my hopes are that others will keep these tragedies in mind when they throw a leg over.
terrible newswhenever I hear stuff like this I get memories of my accident last year when a ute turned in front of me. Leah called me straight away when she heard on the radio to make sure it wasnt me with my luck over last 12 months.
Hope rider pulls thru
