Heard what happened, at least he went with mates close at hand.
Don't usually post in these but it's a bit close to home this time.
RIP.

RIP bro...
You were the ambassador of riding on one wheel. We occasionally didnt see eye to eye but we had fun arguing.
Gordy will be sadly missed

I'm really at a loss for words. When I first saw you I nearly rode into a pole. You are one of the most memorable people I have ever met. I still remember seeing you ride one night with crutches hanging out your backpack.
Perth will never be the same

OMG I can't beleive this
Gordy, I remember when an old flatmate told me about seeing "this pink and black furry zebra bike" do the canning onramp on one wheel. knew straight away it was you.
You were a quiet fella, but when you did speak you came out with the funniest shit.
i looked up to you mate, respected your love for the roads (and paths, boulders, and other non-ashphalt surfaces), and thought you were a bloody legend when even the busted achilles didn't stop you from riding. the story as to how you did your achilles was a crack-up in itself.
I'm going to miss you calling me cripple, i'm gonna miss you shaking your head at me in disgust at dome, and i'm REALLY going to miss your spirit.
ride on Gordy, we're going to miss you
RIP

I remember the VERY first Tuesday night W@R ride I went to.
I'd had my R6 and big bike licence not long at that stage, and had been told about W@R by a guy at the Honda Shop in Midland. I knew no-one else who rode, so decided to go along.
Gordy and his fuzzy Gixxer 750 stood out because, well it was Gordy's bike, and because he dropped it when we left Macca's South Perth.
Typical Gordy, dropped to the left.
Gordy, always distinctive, always willing to help, though gruff.
No more will we see the Magenta Tiger, or the Dirty Black Khunt.
I never knew you well, but you were - ARE - a pillar of the Perth motorcycling community.
You will be missed, but your memory will live on.
Vale amicus.
Requescat in Pace.
