RIP Jason Marks

I had the sad honour to participate in the Ramp Ceremony for LCPL Jason Marks today as he left the Middle East to go home.

RIP fellow digger.

He died doing the job he loved and protecting what we take for granted.

A true Hero has fallen.

Condolences to the family.

Lest we forget!

Keith.

RIP

A sad loss indeed, my thoughts are with LCpl Marks' family and his mates still serving.
Stay safe diggers.

They went with songs to the battle, they were young. Straight of limb, true of eyes, steady and aglow. They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted, They fell with their faces to the foe. They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, We will remember them.Lest We forget

They only deserve freedom, who are prepared to defend it.
Thank you to all diggers.

Indeed.

It is a harsh price to pay.

It must be very difficult for his family at this time, the risks are known, but every family with a serving member prays that this will never happen to them.

Condolences to all concerned, his family and his mates.
