To my good friend Sean
We started round about the same time at charlies and we became instant friends, you starting out as a student anaesthetic technician and me as a relatively new graduate registered nurse in the operating theatre.
We would play pranks on each other, from covering each other in prep or squirting each other with syringes of water and/or lignocaine.
You were there for me with the highs and the lows from breakups, to getting my bike licence to buying my first bike.
You were ready to give me hugs, words of encouragement and laughs.
I was ecstatic when you said that you were going to marry Tarnya and was chuffed when you invited me to your engagement party, you and Tarns were always so welcoming.
You had many talents you could do anything you put your mind to...you were fantastic musician, playing guitar and vocals with your band and your wife. You loved surfing, kite surfing and you even tried your hand at laying decking at your newly built house...there was lots of cursing but you got it done and it looked fantastic in the end.
I was proud of you when you said you were trying out for the St Johns ambulance and I was even prouder when you said you got in. You would have been starting in a few weeks
You befriended everyone you met, you had no enemies and you never had a bad word to say about anyone. You lived your life to the fullest. The kindest soul I have ever met.
Even though your bike didn't have a motor we both shared the passion of being out on the road on two wheels, you would ride your pushie everywhere.
You were abruptly and tragically taken from us but you will never be forgotten. The halls of Charlies will miss your smiling face.
The loss of you in this world is a huge one!!!!!!
I will miss you, my friend. Love you lots
Sandra
