RIP Trevor

My uncle Trev drowned on Friday, he was at safety bay with his girlfriend and grandkids

from what we can gather one or more of the grand kids went into the water and had problems, he went in after them and after getting them out somehow got into problems himself, word is he suffered a heart attack and when he was brought from the water he couldnt be revived

he was 62 years old, rode a bike, drove a car and was just a nice all round kind of guy. a guy that people like to have around.

Condolences Wendy. Very sad indeed. I hope people remember to support the kids that were there. Depending on their age, this sort of event can have a profound and lasting impact on them.

I'm sure Trev will be missed by many. R.I.P.

And as said above, I hope the children get some help to deal with it. It's a huge thing for them to have witnessed.

Thanks Karen
yes the kids are being sorted this morning, some kind of councilling group is handling it, poor kids were huddled together watching while he was trying to be revived, and the worse thing was one family member in their grief pointed out in front of the child that if the kid wasnt in teh water then my uncle wouldnt have had to go in there, she will have to deal with that

all kids involved were under 10 as I know his oldest grandchild was born in 1998. I arrived back in perth from malaysia just in time for him to pick me up at the airport after being at hospital overnight., just so he could be the first male that his grand child would see. you couldnt have wiped the smile of his face for anything.

That was the one thing I had hoped hadn't happened. That will take a lot of sorting. God, why are people so ... why say that ... *sigh*

Heaps of healing to you all.
