there is a piece about him in to days west australia deaths section from his sister Sue that about sums it all up about him saving the 3 kids but losing his own life.
As ppl have said it is a very good person to lay his life on the line for others.

Yes, a good person and more... I would call him a hero WendyLee.
you have more than sad circumstances (especially for the kids involved), my condolences to you and your family at this time.
Sorry to hear about this Wendy, good on him for going in to help the kids though. Terrible that someone told the kid that he wouldn't have died if they weren't in the water in the first place![]()
Go ahead and play the blues if it'll make you happy.

RIP Trevor
To lose your life saving someone else is truly heroic-I hope he is remembered as such
Condolences to you Wendy and to the rest of your family
So sorry to hear! My condolences also. Take care!
This morning was at Trevors service at Freo cemetary, was very lovely
The police officer that pulled him from the water and tried to revive him attended, he got very upset when the smiling faces of Trevor with the kids came up on screen, like he said he saw Trev in a different situation, the police officer should get a commendation for his service to the community, he spend a few days in hospital after taking a lot of water in himself while he tried to revive Trevor in the water and while he dragged him back up the beach, of the 3 young children Trev saved only 2 attended because the other is still being sedated, story was told that she was the last he managed to get to safety before he went under again, so she saw his face as he struggled to surface before the rip took him under again, as her mother said no one will ever know how he got the strength to get those kids out, but thank god he did,
I am sad I lost him last week but can find comfort that 3 kids are walking around today because a man gave the ulimate sacrifice that was his life.
The police officer said at the service that Trev will be nominated for a post-humus bravery award. I think thats what it is called when they do die.
there can be no greater sacrifice, than to save another and loose your own life, rip trev.
I'm sure that if there is a god up there, he's saved a special seat for a man prepared to give selflessly to save a child..
Come and see us in the 2011 Avon Descent - we're racing boat #234 !
A true hero.
Rip trevor.
So sorry to hear about your unlce Wendy.
This is the actions of a true hero. Ultimately one whom puts others before themself is an inspiration to us all.
"post-humus " - Yes, this means that it is presented to the Next of Kin of a deceased person.
A true Australian - May he rest in Peace and be remembered for his deeds for all time!
Take care of yourself on your road trip overseas. Look foward to having a spin with you on the bikes when you get back.
Keith.

All the bravery awards wont bring you back, and I know our family would give it back in a heart beat just to have you home again.
