- Funeral Ride for Leif Smart -

Meet Point: Scarborough Carpark
Meet Time: 10:00 - 10:30am Wednesday (05/05/04)
Leaving: 11:00am SHARP! (Please don\'t be late as we will not wait)

Details:

From here, we will ride to Subiaco to the Funeral Parlor, where we will then follow the cortage, leaving the parlor at 12:10pm. We will then bypass the residents\' place to arrive in Warwick at 12:40pm. We will then proceed to follow to Pinnaroo Cemetary.
EVERYONE is welcome, so please help to make this a very honorable occasion by joining us in the ride. We would like to see a large turnout!

I will try to post details as to where the ride will take us(with map diagrams) and we will have people within the pack who will know where we are going.

NOTE - THE PROSSESION WILL BE WALKED AWAY FROM THE FUNERAL HOME SO BE AWARE THAT WE WILL BE MOVING VERY SLOWLY FOR A LITTLE WHILE.
IF YOU SUSPECT YOUR BIKE MIGHT OVERHEAT IT MIGHT BE AN OPTION TO PICK US UP FURTHER ALONG THE ROAD.

PLEASE NO SILLY ANTICS AS THIS WILL BE A VERY SLOW COMPACTED RIDE.

ALSO PLEASE BE AWARE OF OTHER VEHICLES GETTING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PACK. WE WILL TRY AND WORK OUT SOME STRATIGIES TO AVOID THIS BUT JUST KEEP IT IN MIND WHEN GOING THROUGH LIGHTS ECT.

CARS IN THE PROCESSION MIGHT BE A PAIN BUT IF YOU HAVE TO DRIVE THEN STAY AT THE REAR.

good work chookie, but i may have to meet you guys half way, say at subiaco. Ive got a uni test that may finnish anywhere between 10 and 11 so i may miss the meeting at scarbs.

If you can't make the 10-10:30 time, leaving at 11:00am from scarbs, please send me a PM and I can give you details of the address for the parlor to meet at 11:50 or over at warwick for 12:40. We would very much prefer if you could make the scabs or parlour destination though. The main thing is to show our support for the family and his friends and honour him, so please try to make it if you can!

It would be very appreciative if everyone could attend the ride in honour of Leif, even though I know it is late notice, as he was a fellow rider and a dedicated Perth Street Bikes rider. It would be great to have a good turnout for his funeral and I'm sure he would be smiling down greatly seeing everyone and grateful for their efforts.

I dont doubt it at all Daise, my point is that a cage amongst a precession of motorbikes, other than the family cars naturally, would be inappropriate.

I would doubt that we are going to be going fast spike, so that should be fine. One thing though is that I have been informed that we will be taking a freeway route and no scooters are allowed there, so you might need to meet us at the Warwick destination. Give me a call tomorrow if you are going via scooter and I will give you the time to be there and address
