Vista Home premium
wireless card
video accelerator card, yada yada yada
250G HDD
PLUS Office basic
under $1300 delivered
(inspiron 6400)
looked around, couldn't find anything like the price(without buying off fleabay, and I'm not goin' there)
And remember, MS office in
that price

Celeron is like sooo...anyway, it's only I gig of Ram, if you get Vista you really need 2 gig to have it run at optimum, and why would you buy XP now? You'll be caught, like I was when I backgraded to 98se to avoid the horrors of ME, if you plan on keeping it for more than a couple of years.
And that 80G HDD is small, now. My Dell mentioned above has 250 Gig.

I agree 100% with Cam and nostars - I've been through 5 Acer notebooks in 4 years (thankfully I only paid for one) - and had mainboards replaced in 4 of them.
I am still in the midst of yet another warranty claim where my laptop has several trips to Sydney and back before being 'fixed'.
Never, ever, ever buy Acer - even if you have had good experiences to date, your luck will run out soon.
