Coded welder, 9-5 FIFO roster, 12hrs a day, $75+/H?
equates to;
$900 p/d, $8100 p/fn, 210600 p/year as a starterpoint.
we need one here.

Coded is a classification so that one is able to weld pressurised pipes.
It is an anual test that gives you the certificate and the capability to do these welds who are Xrayed and have to be passed.
Lotsa work here maintaining the boilers and other preasure equipment.
We are short of Coded welders.

welders in demand all up the strip..
if he can weld steel and ally, get him to walk up around henderson.. if he hasn't got a job within 20 mins, I'd be disappointed..
I was offered a job doin bus bodies... and I've only got a tafe cert in MMAW.. aparently, my ability to do stick is a 'rare' thing to see.. *meh*

Should be the same. It is only preparation for the test. You have to be at a certain level/experience just to get into the course. It is difficult even if you can weld. But once you have it, you have it forever.

What Eukanuba said, take a drive down to kwinana-plenty of fab shops, most of em usually have a sign out front advertising for welders.
A big part of what i do is complying welders, PM me his details if you want, im in daily contact with alot of the engineering/fabrication buisness around Perth, but honestly all he need do is take a trip down the strip!

He should have no dramas finding a job over here. Boilermakers are in high demand and nearly every minesite is looking for them. My guesstimate would be a starting wage of about 120-130k per year, 2on 1 off...
