can you advise a little as to what a "flusher" does pls?

ceiling goes up in plasterboard sheets, screwed into the wooden beams. Where one sheet meets another, there is a join. The flusher's job is to make this join invisible- make each sheet flush with the next. This is done with tape & jointing compound. So when the whole deal is painted, you have one neat solid flat uninterupted surface. In every case I've known, the flushers put up the cornice as well.

what kinda jobs is on offer. is the any frame work. domestic or commerical??? and yeah is there big meters??
