    entry level cad job wanted

    Hi
I am a time served boilermaker with with 20 yrs under my belt, I have been working as a fabrication supervisor and now want to get into a drawing office, I have been using autocad 2007 in my job to do drawings for clients and in house projects, I studied Autocad in the uk and passed my 2D autocad last year.

With my extensive trade background I feel this is natural move away from the tools.

I want move away from fabrication and use my drafting skills elsewhere, with a view to going into 3D drafting and modelling.

anyone have any advice or contacts.

I have worked most of my working life in manufacturing and structural, but I am happy to face new challenges.

I have mostly been doing drawings of structural steel work and product design and development drawings for R&D of manufactured steel products such as prison doors, custodial furniture, grill gates used in prisons , courts.

My recent work as been to draw items for clients of the company I work for which is a marine engineering company doing defence and general engineering.

thanks to all who have replied, pms / emails to those in due course

    regards
