Guru Bike electrician - NOR

I Hate doing electrics.......... (just thought id make that obvious)

I have a minor issue with the headlight part of the wiring for my ZX9. Yes.. I have changed globes, No there doesnt seem to be any obvious wiring damage (Bike was a damaged bike when purchased).

If anyone has the patience and the time to spare to help out for a Bottle (700ml) or carton of beer.... and can fix my problem (otherwise no beer lol).

Thanks

Jarrod

Firstly, Im no Guru and the only MC guru I know of NOR is motorcycle electrics in OsPK.

Do you have a manual?

What is the actual issue with the headlight, ie keeps blowin from vibration or over heating? Does ur relay get overly hot? What ur switches/plugs like..
process of elimination my friend!

I have a similar issues with my cbr250 one and only one bulb will blow.
I have checked reg/rec (as honda's are crap) so maybe thats an issues
but then I found a fault with my sidestand switch and that was an addition factor =\
Electrics are horrible, just spend a weekend with a multimeter a manual and carton and check everything.

I might check my relay also now. Thanks Kev :p

p.s where abouts in ellenbrook are ya?

Ok, thus far, I have checked along wiring to headlight and also a few other relevant wiring pathways for any obvious signs of damage. As it stands now, I have the top park light working, but both headlights are not working in either high or low beam. When turning High beam on, I dont get the usual blue symbol on dash either..

As for a manual.... they are like Hens teeth. If someone has one close by that I can have a look at, it would be muchly appreciated. Mine is the 01 model ZX9R.

Definitely check your relay/replace if its cheap enough

And for Kim..... is there any broken mounts on your headlight assembly or anything that can cause vibration into the bulbs? Cause that will blow em in no time.
