Job Opportunity - Motorcycle Instructor
Some of you may be aware that I am a motorcycle instructor with my own school Advantage Motorcycle Rider Training and have been instructing for nearly 13 years. I am however about to re-invent myself career-wise and to this end I am starting a Dip. Ed. in a few weeks time with a view to becoming a high school teacher.
The upshot is that I will be phasing myself out of the rider training industry and will need to refer work to someone who is personable, competent, professional, dependable and qualified.
I currently have both a Yellow Pages advert and a website Advantage Motorcycle Rider Training that, in combination with referrals from previous students, gives me so many enquiries that I have to turn away work. Obviously with a full-time course of study I will have to turn away the lion's share of enquires in the near future - and this is where a likely lad or lady will need to step up to take up the work.
Please note that:
1) I am not offering anyone a job to work for me;
2) I am not selling my business as it stands;
3) I am not offering the use of my machines and equipment,
What I am offering is an opportunity for someone wanting to get a start as a motorcycle instructor.
To this end I propose to pass on work (plenty of it) to another instructor by virtue of my advertising and well established name. In return, I would ask for a modest booking fee.
So, what would a prospective instructor need to do to qualify? Well, he/she would have to:
1) be able to get on well with people in one-on-one interaction;
2) enjoy riding bikes in all weather and traffic situations,
3) be a competent rider with a good understanding of what makes bikes go, turn and stop and what it takes to ride safely in the war zone that exists on WA roads.
4) either already have an instructor's licence or qualify to apply for an instructor's licence (I can provide training and advice in this regard), and
5) have his/her own motorcycles - one to ride personally plus a 250 for learners to ride (an additional open class learner bike is recommended but not essential).
The beauty of this job opportunity is that it can be anything from a part-time job to a full-time job with the flexibility to take on as much or as little work as you want. You get to ride bikes all day, enjoy the outdoors and tax deduct your hobby! (Note that all your gear, fuel, motorcycle magazines, etc. will get subsidised by the taxman!).
Anyone who is interested and wants more information should either PM me, email me direct, motorcycle@wuweidao.com or call me on 0409-110862.

Okay, so I'm starting uni next week and have already turned away enough work to make me cry. Anyone want to take me up on this?
