Mineing Job oppourtunty

If the mods want to move this to a more appropiate section thats fine.

The company I work for is looking for some more operators/down hole surveyors (approx 4 postions) in the Iron Ore / Pilbra exploration. These are 2 weeks on one week off full time positions (4 weeks anual leave etc etc) after intal trial prbationary period. We will train you however in return we like to get at least 12 months out of new employee in order to recoupe our costs.

You need
Current drivers license
Absolute minium 18 years old (licensing requirement for some of the equipment)
Computer literacy at a user level
Be able to regulary lift load up to 26kg on a semi regular basis
Work buy yourself as well as part of a team and adhere to safety requiments ,work procudures both the customers and ours
Pass drug and alchool test
We will look favourably upon
Mechanical or electronic background ablity or a intrest in Geology First aid four wheel drive courses are helpful but we will sort them out if you need them.

Genrally jobs are minsite based but the ocasional swag job may come up these are usally short term only (couple weeks at worst). We already have a couple of PSBer's / Associates or PSB working for us so if you want to talk bike endlessly at the end of the day you can. All work is dayshift only very rarely there is pit work (no underground) you get to see some stuff that will probally end up as a big hole in the ground and most of the public don't get to see. Its also a good foot in the door and similar operations are carried out int he oil and gas industry. The work can be tedious and repedative pay is reanosable but don't expect make you fortune doing this. As well as training all flights food accomodation uniforms etc etc are provided this is a fairly small friendly company the've been putting up with me for years .

PM me if keen

Not really we don't work that part of the year too hot we drag most of the equipment back to Perth to screw it back together again for the next year. Training takes around four weeks, not really cost effective from our end sorry. If however you are looking at taking a year off or something we would be happy to talk to you.

Ok we've had a pretty good repsonse actually considering it went up 12 hours ago !@#$ing excellent. Those that have already contacted me or idicated they are intrested please contiune any others intrested maybe just hold off and we'll get through what we've got. If the current postions are filled its likely that maybe a few months down the track we may be after some more people and I'll bump this up again. Thanks people and maybe I'll catch you around the traps .

If you look at Billy's profile on profile of the week you'll find he is an experinced learned man or at least comes across that way. At the moment if you can convice other people you know what the !@#$ you are doing you can pretty much charge as much as you want. You genrally don't roll into something like that unless you are in the right place at the right time every one else has to work there way there.
