Thanks to all that have replied it will still be a few days before I get around to replying to everyone. The Position is down Hole Survery so you work in conjuction withthe rigs rather than on them. If you type in Geophysical electric logging or downhole geophysics into a search engine of your chioce you should get some idea about what the job is about. The jobs are operators postions so like with most of these type of things can be fairly tedious at times.

This isn't really a bump but more a rocket up the rear to the top of the list. Few people have left+we have expanded a bit further. At least four postions avaliable possibly up to six.

This is not drillers offsider you work in association with the drill rig but not directly on it.

Dude, to be honest... I'd rather sit in the back of the 'boiling hot landcruiser' (Which isn't that hot when you're moving around and don't have windows/doors open), than be an offsider out in the heat, next to a rig that probably generates more heat
