Thief Smashed My GT Window - need it fixed

    Hi,

My lady took our FPV GT-P down to the beach for a swim and returned to find the drivers window smashed and the car contents rifled through.

Does anyone here work for ford or other establishment that can replace it for us. It was also tinted with what I guess was the factory tint.

    Any ideas on the cost?

I guess they assumed nice car might have nice stuff in it. People don't get into the position to buy decent toys by leaving their dough layin round. Unless their rich I suppose. We're not.

    Fuck wits! Total Fuck Wits

I hope they cut themselves pricks! When I lived in North Perth kids would do a whole street of cars just for small change, lots of broken glass.

    Bugger smashing a window.

It's much easier to pinch a key from the sand and walk through the carpark with the remote.

Maybe try a wreckers for the window (I dunno if any GT-P's have been written off already).

My brother works for Tint-A-Car who do the tinting for MacInerney Ford, PM me if you want his number. He does work on weekends.

Then maybe the beating when caught is an 'Occupational Hazard'? I can just see the little fuckers doing a Job Risk Assesment before gearing up to break in to cars.

Lol JRA, wonder if they use appropriate PPE.

Sorry not laughing at your plight just worksafe jargon/practises.

On topic: + 1 for checking insurance, as said you usually get a freebie each year.
Gutsy question. You're a shark. Sharks are winners, and they don't look back because they have no necks. Necks are for sheep.

Went onto shannons website when we bought car and the FPV GT-P wasn't on it. Phoned up and they couldn't find the model either. Looked under ford and everything.

Glass replacement was another $20 on top of my policy and of course didn't take that option. Over the 12yrs I've had inurance on my car it would have been 240 to cover the windows. Window to replace was $295 so slightly behind. Altough I've had more than 1 car from time to time during that period, so maybe not that far behind. I didn't leave that $20 in the bank though, so still had to find it.

Oh well, Live and Learn. Will tint soon and I'm all back to normal. Thanks for advice and the bad thoughts/words towards the pricks. See ya's out on the bike soon.
