Trucky reqd for Backload from Kalgoorlie :)

Hey there, are you, or do you know somone who has space on a truck (for a Hyundai-ish POS) and is able to cart said POS from Kalgoorlie back to Kwinana/Perth-ish?

I may have my bunky, but it's in Kal, and I don't think it would make the trip back to Perth.

Any ideas what sort of prices I would be looking at for the job?

Geez, you can buy a $500 bunky from some car yards, when even the backload freight would cost you nearly that much.

Unless you know the driver personally enough to get a cheap rate then you would still end up worse off.

They have just closed the Norseman-Hyden road which was the alternative around the Gt Eastern and now people need to go via Esperance to get to Kalgoorlie.

That is a MUTHA-FKN-DETOUR-FROM-HELL

Bushfire closes another major WA road

One of the few remaining road links between Perth and the eastern states has been closed.
Travellers between Kalgoorlie and Perth have been using the Hyden-Norseman Road because the Great Eastern Highway is still under threat from a bushfire which killed three men just before the new year.
Late this afternoon severe thunderstorms sparked another fire which is burning about 80 kilometres east of Hyden.
The CEO of the Shire of Kondinin, Peter Webster, says drivers who had been using the Hyden-Norseman Road will now have to go through Esperance.
"As Main Roads and the police have been saying, it's through from Kalgoorlie to Esperance and then back up into Perth that way," he said.
"But at the moment we're closing it and requested everyone to keep off that road until at least tomorrow until we can assess the situation."
