IT uni grad looking for change of scene

    Hi all,
I am chasing a change of scene.
Without mentioning too much out there, i am wondering what there is that anyone might know of.

Looking for at least 50k. NOT callcentre work.

Any more info or questions just let me know.

Have you considered working in the mnes or offshore? You are away from home a lot but you only work 6 months a year and the money is bloody good too.

Pity not interested in working away. Work is after a couple more Field Operators. But we go out for 4-6 weeks at a time.

really? I earn more than he is asking on my current rate and Im not even close to finishing uni yet...
My job requires no real skill, just common sense...good management and people skills... and some general life skills and problem solving help too

ahhh mining and construction industry... the times are good...for now

if you are willing to work and have dedication then there are many opportunities to earn $50k+ if you look in the right places and are flexible

yeah i disagree with that comment. The reason i ask that amount as i am already that close to 50k its not funny.

I am actively looking. Just waiting on a couple of leads at the moment.
Usual story, mates keeping ears out etc. Had a couple interviews around.
Just waiting on something special to pop up.

you could even find another job...then leverage your current workplace to up your pay and/or move you to a different line of work that you would be interested in upon threat of you leaving?

hiring new employees and training/assimilating them can be quite costly depending on the line of work you are in... if there are other career paths within the company that you think would suit you then you may find they are more than willing to help you get there

Depends what your bankable skills are really, from this thread you have theory in networking/cisco but nothing practical, real life experience, apart form a help desk, which wont help in your interview to be a network tech/engineer.. which i presume you are tasking towards?

I'd buck up about the 50k thing and more focus on getting in a low level of what you want your career path to be... can make bulk money doing night shifts on desktop support etc but it wont help crossing over later.

Of course you could lay on the couch and smoke bongs until a dozen people just throw a job at you.

    It works.

What is best in life? Troll the forums, see the threads derailed before you and hear the lamentations of the moderators.
