Question WANTED - Info for blue tooth coms between bikes

After a search of the threads with no luck, can anyone recommend where I can get some info or purchase a set of Blue Tooth / Infrared / UHF headsets that allow either bike to bike or bike to pillion communication.

I have a cheap set that I got in singapore ($25 AUD), connects rider and pillion together via wires, mic and earpice and after 50 kmh there is static and wind noise transfered through the earpiece resulting in loss of chit chat.

Something similar to the mobile phone sets that are floating around minus the mobile phone bit.

BlueAnt Interphones were done on a group buy here a little while ago. I got a pair so I could chat with my missus riding pillion.

I have only had a chance to use them on one decent run so far, and they are excellent. NB I have not felt the need to put a loud exhaust on my bike so if you have a noisy one you may not get the benefit! I have not paired it up with my mobile as I am not a great fan of using a mobile whilst driving/riding but Davey tried it out with some success I believe.

You can get them from ebay or maybe through Woodzter as he was the guy who set up the original group buy.

They are good for up to about 150 metres, so if you want to do 1-1 bike communication you will be fine up to that distance but no any further and it will drop out.

Can't remember how much they were, somewhere between $150 and $200 per unit.

If you want to have a look at them you are welcome to come up to our place in Karrinyup. PM me for the address.

my friend and I bought the blue ant bluetooth they are $250 from strathfield or over the net....you get 150metres between you and another rider or use it with a pillion or mobile....they aren't too bad all though the 150metres is a bit shitty...and they scramble if they go out of range for too long ....i have also found that on a windy day that it can be a little difficult to hear...but all in all i like it.....hope this helps
