Need to build a workshop

Looking at something like 6x6, gable roof, roller door (1 or 2 depending on price). Also looking at a concrete pad for the floor. City of Swan if it helps. Dimensions can be bigger, I've got a lot of stuff to go in there - 5 bikes + millions of parts, bass guitar + gear, computer, fridge etc etc.

Hook a brother up.

Cheers

I know of concrete guys who did my driveway. TOP work at very good prices. The guys are i think retired / retiring, and dont work full time. PM sent.

I just built my semi dream garage. Food for thought, lots of power points, sub board, lots of airline outlets and take a number of flouros you need, then double it. You wont regret.

Like everything else, the job needs to be configured before it gets done

look in the sunday times as they have lots of shed erectors and some are actually very well priced

but then get an electrician in ( firestorm) and get extra power points put in and then run your own airlines around

Trowel finish and seal the floor... before you move anything in but wait at least 7-14 days (weather dependant) for concrete to cure first. Keeps the dust down and makes it easy to clean the spills up.
Heaps of different products out there. Pretty well as much as you want to spend. But remember u get what u pay for.
Few more clear roof sheets too. Maybe...

Not far from laying down some cash, just a few more things to check out

Anyone got anything good/bad to say about Highline in regards to sheds/workshops etc? They've been the best so far, not the cheapest but about middle of the pack, they are standing out as they have been really helpful sorting out the council side of the things (which is half the battle with restrictive covenants in new estates!!!)

Cheers

if you can maybe buy the roller seperate from the shed? still have them install it but buy it seperatley - ill have an ask at work tomorrow about the situation with private buying a roller - can you get a company to buy it?

Wouldn't be able to get a company to buy it

Any particular reason why? The idea of a 10 year warranty on the whole shebang is kinda attractive and I was hoping to get the whole structure through 1 company (1 company, 1 point of contact if shit hits the fan)

Cheers

Highline tried to charge me heaps for deep footing coz shed was to be near a sewerage line, turned out to be a load of wank so i went with outdoor world, good price, service was fast, no complaints.
Definitely etch and seal the floor before you move into it, i have the name of a great 2 part wattyl product if you want, dont use a paving paint, will turn to shit in no time. Also with the clear sheets in the roof, i was told the more you have the hotter the shed will get in summer, i thought bullshit and got 2 put in each side of the roof, thought the extra light would be good, bad move, they do get bloody hot in summer, you can notice it if you are working under the clear sheat, hotter than working under the solid steel sheets

be careful if you go with ODW - there are good ones and bad ones - from my POV anyway

we've got a widespan shed, and i wouldnt really reccomend them- the things are a fucking prick to get up, they sent us random extra bits, stuffed up and gave us wrong instructions for building it, and the instructions are clear as mud. We had heaps of people look at them, including builders, and the only way we worked it out was trial and error. Having said that though, the shed is pretty awesome now that its up, and they custom built to our size
