An unfortunate event has occurred recently where some PSB members were swindled out of some $$$ by some dodgey fuck selling some items on this forum in the FOR SALE SECTION.
The details wont be made public, as im sure it has stung the people concerned enough, however all the relevant details will be included in the following reminder:
BUYING / SELLING items on PERTH STREETBIKES DOT COM- It is important to note that just because someone is a PSB member, does not mean you should trust them 100%.
- Please use COMMON SENSE when making a purchase from someone you personally dont know.
- Treat the FOR SALE section as if it were the Sunday Times or the Quokka.
- Avoid handing over the cash before getting the goods.
- If you suspect something is dodgey about the person or the goods you are about to buy report it to the PSB STAFF
- If you are the dodgey fuck and think you can get away with ripping 1 PSB member off... remember that there are around 3000 other members that would gladly turn you into a human pinyata.
- Finally.... PLEASE UTILISE COMMON SENSE.
Thankyou for taking the time to read this PSB Community Service Announcement.

i woulda thought it might be beneficial to name the alleged perpetrator, but only happen after said person has had an opportunity to explain themselves, as there's always 2 sides to every story.
or has there been other steps taken already?

Im not involved with the said incident... so anything I were to put forward would be heresay.
I believe the allegations are true, however as I am not a party to the transaction I shall leave it in the responsible hands of those affected. They are big enough to speak up should they wish.

Hey Klink and PSB staff, just wondered how feasible it would would be to break down the for sale section into sub-categories i.e. Bike for sale, Parts for sale and then everythin else. I know its all work, but I have a real good web developer buddy that could help out for free.
cheers

Just wanted to give my 2 cents:
-Could we do a buyer/ seller feedback section?
-This work very well in other forums
-Also this may prevent/ reduce the chance of ppl trying to rip others off/ doing dirty dodgy deal.
May be we could have a section or post where members can contribute of incidence that had happened to them (without naming names) that might be useful for others to be aware of and avoid making the same mistakes.
Cheers

I think with the small amount of items being sold this would be unfeasable.
Most members know each other and it's a trust thing if you buy from someone or not.
As klink said, common sense.

I agree with the fact that we're only selling the odd thing on a small scale, and that it isn't worth setting up a feedback thing. Besides the fact that if you sell something dodgy on here, the buyer probably isn't going to keep things quiet anyway.
