BWTK - How many bikes?
I think there's something wrong with me. After test riding some bikes, I can justify to myself the absolutely mandatory need for the following:
- my 250 (tis the only thing I'm allowed to ride now)
- daytona (cos I like the look and just spend thousands fixing it)
- a cruiser (for Sundays)
- a motard (brings back my offroading memories)
- a trackbike (cos I liked the look of shadow78's and think I still want it, and need something I can go nuts with on track)
- a ducati 848 (because everyone needs a ducati to be sitting broken down in the garage, and 848's rawk)
- a race replica bike, unsure between R1 and CBR
- a fighter
This compounds the requirement for multiple cages too..
Does anyone else have this problem, and plan their next 12 months of income solely around buying bikes?
Or, does anyone have any tips how to convince their other half to see this point of view?

I could always justify a few more, at the moment I have 6'ish

Suzuki SV1000 := back from the dead commuter, hooner'er
Yamaha YZF600R := track bike and spare commuter (currently in bits)
Chinese heap-o-shit pitbike 110cc := (for my eldest boy)
Thumpstar pitbike 125cc := (for the younger lad who is quite a lot faster)
I also have 2 parts bikes
CT125 motor is a runner, but the rest of the bike is fully disassembled only cost a carton
CT110 postie bike, very dead motor, only just got it on saturday, was out for verge collection
I'm currently building a offroad kart at the moment with all my spare junk
No bikes allowed inside anymore, they get attacked by the toddler... So they are all in the garage/back patio (even removed a wall allow more room for bikes)
Currently tempted/interested in :
- Fighter/turbo the SV and get another proper jap litre bike as a stable mate
- Duc 1098 / 1198 / KTM RC8. Big bore euro twins mmmmm
- A mid/full size dirt squirter to go on trails with the lads.
- An old single cylinder to restore again
- Another 2 stroke road/race bike. They need constant maintenance, but when they go.. holy shit
- I am also a fag and tempted by the motard craze.
How do I justify it.. uh.. coz I can?? However I've had a good run with picking up cheap or free stuff lately. That'll change when I get the next big-bore
Also have 2 cages (between the 2 of us) and trailer.

i could only dream owning more than 1 bike , let alone 4 or 6. What do you guys do for a crust, blimey, work for nasa? I have no interest in dirtbikes, however an r1 would be nice, a cbr 600rr track bike, keep the f4i and learn to stunt. And dare i say it, a chopper for sunday cruises with a sissy bar for the sissy misses to pillion.

Poll not quite right, what I'd ideally have in my garage:
- a big sports twin (eg, honda sp2, ktm rc8)
- a dirt bike (eg, rm250, cr250, etc - 2 stroke because i'm attached to them from my younger days)
- a motard (haven't looked into them too seriously, so unsure which, but rich has good things to say about the SXV
)
- a smoker road/track bike
- 600/750 commuter bitch bike
- a sprint, vfr - or busa?
for long distance touring.
so i guess thats nearly one for every day of the week - but they're not really day specific... just task specific

OH yeah. if you think you have it bad, try living in a house with 3 people who ride.
2 of us have 2 bikes, one of us has 1 bike and wants a second bike... there's only so much space in the garage :|has a 180sx for sale. 120k km, 5000km old ceramic coated GT2871/0.87 AR 440hp spec turbo with appropriate exhaust, fuel and intercooling mods. 5 stud conversion. r33 4 pots on front. 5000km old slotted DBAs all round. new pads. 5000km old otomoto coilovers. whiteline sway bars. 310 hp at wheels. also has full wolf3d v500 management, v500 dash controller, apexi el2 controller (boost guage is munted though). de-winged, no body kit. just want it gone. tell your friends. open to serious offers...

Hmmm.....well I'm working towards:
Busa - daily rider (and something the missus won't complain about sitting on)
GSXR1000 - For hooligansim
BMW 650GS Dakar - For light offroad work
99 R6 - Dedicated trackbike
Z500 - Something nostalgic to cruise around on Sundays.
M109 Boulevard - One of the few hot looking cruisers
So far I have 3 on that list. Add to that a ute and a sailplane and then I'll be happy.A cynic is a man who, when he smells flowers, looks around for a coffin.
