    Cutting Stainless Steel

So Mrs flash decided we needed a new rangehood, and it's my job to instal... I want this one she says...

The flue cover is a two piece stainless bit, but god bless her, she forgot we have a bulkhead over the cooktop so the main piece of the flue cover is too long...

I'm not going to try to cut is because the likelihood of me scratching it is directly proportional to how importand she reckons the job is...

can the psb community please recommend me someone that can do the job nice and neat for me

it's say 1.2 mm sheet stainless bent into a 3 sided rectangle.

    thanks

OR alternatively if it's a Gyprock bulkhead use a Stanley knife and cut the bulkhead

Make sure it's a Stainless cutting disc, or she'll be more pissed with you long term!

It doesn't have to be a stainless disc, just make sure it's virgin, ie never seen any other steel.
The ultra thin discs cut stainless very well I use them everyday at work.
Just take your time even tape old scrap on the side your keeping so you don't damage it.
Just don't keep the blade sitting in one spot getting hot and discoloring the stainless although it looks kool on a bikes pipe not so kool on kitchen stuff...
If your anywhere near kalamunda I could do it for you but obviously aside from doing my best I would take no responsibilty for any an all damages or differences of opinion. But in any such scenario I could probably help you come up with a solution
not everyone wants to pickup trash from the side of the road, leave it for the crims and the junkies.
