All things going well I should be approaching Adelaide from the south east (Great Ocean Road direction) later this year. Any standout roads we should be engaging with?

look up chain of ponds and gorge rd chew, in the hills to your right as you come through the tunnel. if you have ridden from vic, then you will prob be looking to stay in adelaide overnight and hit the hills in the morning. after COP and G.Rd there is a german pub in the vicinity that does sourkrowt for lunch![]()
+1 for Gorge Road and also Mt Lofty Scenic route
Men have motorcycles while women have mensutral cycles, you can't talk to either while they are on it. The women's also has a sound, it goes nag-na-nag-nag-nag, biiiiiitch-bitch-biiiiiiiitch!
Take a detour down towards Victor Harbour and hit the Range Rd towards Yankalilla. Nice set of twisties and hills riding. Closer to town is to detour off the highway to Strathalbyn and take the rd to Stirling. Make sure to stop at the Stirling pub for a tasty feed, beer, perve (if a Friday night).
the Adelaide Hills ....google Adelaide to Birdwood approx 1hr
many of the roads in this area are good fun...I think Gorge rd is part of the journey.
If you get time check out the National Motor museum in Birdwood.
on the upper level theres a cool motorbike section worth exploring.

Thanks for the tips. That will probably keep us occupied as we will most likely only have a day in S.A. to play with. Depends on weather/timetables and how much time we spend on the GOR as my riding buddy has not done it yet.

If you think Perth drivers are bad just watch out for the retard drivers in Adelaide - Hoon capital and gero's everywhere.
When you get off the GOR keep following the coast around down towards Robe via Mt Barker and then through the Coorongs. A lot better option than the Dukes Hwy - less traffic.
