CWTK - Wheres your favourite coffee place?
I love my coffee. I cant get enough of it.
There's only a handful of places in Perth where I can say that serve a real long mac.
- Blink Coffee - High Street, Fremantle (on uni campus)
- Cafe 58 - Carrington street, Freo area
- Tiger Tiger - CBD
- That damn cafe in Prevelly, near Margs that looks out onto the sea (close to the general store). Excellent food too.
I am the kind of person that would travel 1 hour to get a good cup of coffee.
Please tell me your favorite cup/blend, and where you buy it from. This is my signature.

Epic Espresso, in West Perth.
Get their own blend roasted by Five Senses. It's a sweet, nutty coffee the likes of which I've not tasted elsewhere.
Making at home using the King's Blend from my local roaster gets pretty close.
I've given up my expectations for anything but maybe an average coffee when I head out though.

Mooba on the corner of jersey and carrington in wembley. Apparently they are in the top 5 in perth competition wise and their coffee is pure awesome.

That would be Bouchard's (previously Cimbalino)
I am finding Epic to be a bit variable these days, and have had several average coffees there recently, I now tend to head to Fix next door.
The original Cimbalino in Dalkeith is great, as is the new one in Cottesloe which is giving Vans a run for its money (although Vans still wins on food - best scrambled eggs in Perth).
Voyage on West Coast Drive just south of Hillarys is usually pretty good for coffee and food.
As for my favourite - I am not telling you, because it is just getting too busy now as more people find out about it. Sorry

Cimbalino in Cottesloe. Its virtually opposite Dome in Napoleon St. It must be extremely close to the most consistently excellent coffee i've found anywhere in Perth.
And +1 for Mooba in Wembley.
Velvet in King Street - possibly the most overrated cafe in Perth. I've tried it probably 5 times because many people rave about it and every time i've been thoroughly disappointed.
edit - beaten by Morgs re Cimbalino

I'm not a huge coffee drinker, but Cafe 58 would be my favorite. Helps that I've known the owners since forever.

i think if u go to somewere like velvet or epic and your coffee isnt up to scratch you need to say something. i think they would be pretty good about it and offer to make you another one.

Did a course at Epic and Amanda (I think) was saying if it ain't perfect, take it back - tell them what was wrong and they'll make another.

I'd agree with epic for being on the money for one of the best cups of coffee in perth! The owner Corey is great and if you've had a bad experience would go out of his way to help you...he's just that kind of guy. And I know one of the girls that works there who was latte art nation champion last year or the year before I think it was...now she know's how to make a good coffee!!!
Not to mention their mocha's and hot chocolates are to die for! Real melted belgium chocolate tempting much?
