that one fix next to epic is good too. there is one near the belgian beer cafe down one of the backstreets (not tiger tiger) that is awesome too.

Latte Art, had already done the basic barista training at TAFE.

It was pretty exxy for the fairly limited amount of knowledge transfer, but I left happy with the result.

given i drink espresso, i cant be bothered with the latte art course. been wondering if the basic course if aimed at complete newb's or not. i should be less lazy and go ask them

Yep, and I only got into the Latte Art course without doing the other one first coz I dropped some wanky words in the conversation when I called Vanessa to book

Seriously? The courses seem okay, but for $200 you don't get a whole lot packed into 2 hours of playtime...

Look at the TAFE ones instead - run over four weeks or so, two hours or something on a night each week, cost about half as much.

Just discovered that I only have two weeks until Jenna gets back from holidays and the East Perth MYO starts making bad coffee really well again*. Their current girl used to be head barista at one of the Gloria Jeans - apparently they'll teach her how to actually make coffee when Jenna returns

* explanation - MYO must use MAP coffee under their franchise setup. MAP is pretty average. BUT Jenna is a pretty barista who makes it quite drinkable.
