DFWTK home music and video recording

    Hi peeps.

I recently obtained a M-Audio firewire 1814 soundcard and have since worked out how to record multiple instruments using Ableton live 8 lite.

I have arranged some microphones and want to record someone playing Violin with both Video and audio. I assume the video and audio are put together post recording? Soon I want to record 2 vocals and 3 instruments.

Google is helpful, but has anyone already gone down this path that has pointers?

    Ta.

I record my instruments one by one using Cubase, haven't done video yet but I assume if you're recording the audio in Ableton via the sound card and the video through a webcam/video camera you'd just sync the video with the audio afterwards.

Hopefully someone with experience can explain it a bit better
