Better than you since '87

yes, a few of us do.
But there are too many pissweak people on PSB who don't do their bit. I hate to think how much blood somebody like Falcore would have required when he had his off.
In life you only get one lap, might as well make it a good one.

Duct tape is like the Force it's dark on one side, light on the other and holds the universe together.
nope... tattooed overseas = no-no
I would if I could, but as a pom you won't accept my blood.
I will when I'm back home.

I do but had a tattoo late last year so have to wait it out for 12 months. Im going to look up for the info on Motorbike riders vs Police in blood donations. Once my 12 months is up i will be keen to do it every 3 months, plus plasma if i can
I have a fear of needles. So, no.

i do it every 3 months. did plasma twice but had issues with that due to issues finding big enough veins (something like that). might get back into the plasma later.
I went to a PSB blood run a few years ago and went every 3 months after until I got a couple of tatts, but my last tattoo was just over a year ago now, so I'll go on the next blood run.

Looks like the Biker vs Police is only a NSW thing. Maybe we could organize to start it over here...anyone interested?
Beaten by a few people interested

biker vs police? That sounds like fun

The last time I had a blood test at the doctors, I told the quack that I'd prefer to lie down. He said, nah you're a big bloke, you'll be fine. I laid on the table. The quack took five minutes to find the vein, because I was going pale. Then he took a small vile of blood ... maybe 20ml. He said, ok all done, you can get up now. I said, nah mate I'll just lay here for a while. When I did get up, I was still giddey.
The time before that I didn't lay down for long enough and I got up and fainted.
The thought of giving a pint or so of blood makes me feel sick
I have a brother and an aunt that are exactly the same.

Some people are just like that, i had a friend that forgot we were cutting up hearts in biology one day haha he didnt take it too well.
Needles dont bother me so im pretty lucky in that respect.
The biker vs police is over the summer period, i think we could organize a WA side closer to summer. Winner is whichever side gets the most donations. Motorbike riders are leading 9-8

No, but it's only because I was born in england are are apparently bovinsane.
i do, and most of my friends and colleagues do.
I went a couple of weeks ago, which was the first time in quite a few years for me. I used to donate more regularly when i worked across the road from a blood bank.
Got my fancy new donation card in the mail yesterday actually. IMO if you're riding a bike there is a good chance you may need blood in your near future, so pay it forward and donate some - it only takes an hour of your time, and you'll appreciate it if you ever come off. If you're not eligiable I understand, and if you're legitimately really scared of needles then so be it, but really no one likes having needles - the idea is you suck it up, because you know you're doing something good.
Plus...who doesn't like free chocolate and biccies!
