large part of my job is contact tracing for STI so this thread interesting. i think a lot of people are very comfortable thinking they in monogomous relationship. they might be surprised riding shotgun with me for a day, and they might not feel so comfortable about the status of monogomy in peoples eyes.
Kinsey Institute did some research......almost ALL men took up the offer of no strings, never contact again sex with a woman they found attractive. Same thing for women was very low, but they redo the trial every ten yrs or so. women saying yes more often these days.

Yes men and womens sexual behavior getting level with each other, but the values placed on them the same. i.e. woman who enjoys sex and multiple partners are sluts, if they dont they fridged. reality is in the middle, but society not too interested in reality when it comes to sex. men dont have that kind of judgement thrown at them.
