    HBRWTK: Your own bike brand?

Used to daydream earlier in the year on the way to uni, about designing and building my own bikes, and for the brand had 'HBR' or 'HBR Motors' for obvious reasons, in a style similar to AJS or HRD.

If you had your own motorcycle company, what would you call it and why?

    Impending Doom Inc.

Electric bikes powered by radioisotope thermal generators for the discerning rider

I'd use Caesium 137 as the heat source too because it's nice and water soluble. Makes it easy to dump the old cores..

I'd open a "custom" bike shop that would pimp out sports bikes with tribal designs and skulls done in glow in the dark paint.

Custom cafe racers of course similar to what DEM's doing but less ratty.

West Coast Cafe Racers naturally, hopefuly nobody will confuse it with crap choppers

    individual adverts like

"selfish bikes for selfless people" - single seaters

"no cowhorns" - clipons or m-bars only.

theme bikes - like a black and white "cruiser" or "prowler"

    "tuning forks" series - sr500, xs650, xs850 and a xs1100

"inspired by" series - old bikes redone to look like older bikes

a series of bikes or perhaps parts and garments under the name of
White Knuckle Racing - WKR - from a distance

yep all thought out, pity i have the mechanical skills of a goat

    but i can dream

Owning a shop where I design/build custom bikes is my dream, so I've thought about it a few times. I also study Product Design at university, so a lot of my assigments I've geared around motorbike design exercieses.

I'd probally do something similar to Bimota where they use doner engines from another brand.

I'm unsure of the name I would choose as yet, but in my head i've got a very clearly defined image for the company and what we do. Stay tuned

I've often thought about it, but in regards to cars instead of bikes...

something along the lines of a Lotus 7 / Caterham / Westfield build...
small tube-frame sport car, but with a half decent enclosed fibreglass body... or convertible/roadster type...

no traction control, airbags, ESP, ABS or any of that other fancy shit...
just cheap, no-frills performance cars... too much effort and $$ and ADR requirements as hurdles though

Names are too hard though - "Team Awesome" comes to mind for some reason, but does not seem viable to market
