Hi All
Just putting it out there as i am realising that there is so much that isn't really taught. Looking for things that you pick up after a while, its hard to explain.
What do you wish you had known when you left High School and/or started working full time and/or moved out for the first time? Looking for more generic things that weren't really taught in School on any level.
I'll kick it off with Health insurance and getting it so that you don't get stuck with huge costs (hasn't happened to me yet but i figure its still a good idea)
Also budgeting and saving for a rainy day, just incase.
Also all sorts of things about money, managing it (as above) but also loans and repayments and all things involving banks.
Learning to cook is also a good idea, you don't need to be a masterchef, but a decent (veggie) soup recipe and the ability to make a dinner that has a couple of different types of vegies with decent meat are essential.
Any sort of plan or structure/routine aids significantly not only in the workplace with time management etc. but also at home.
Beware of the media, even the news will twist facts for ratings. If you are interested in a topic and want an unbiased opinion read up on it.
Learn how to wash your own clothes, properly, you will have to know how eventually.
Disclaimer: I'm trying not to noob it up too much but after recently starting my first full time job (7 months ago) there is so much that i never really knew.
Thanks in advance for any good ideas!
