JWTK: Good high class restaurants in the metro area

I want to take the missus on an epic dinner on Sunday for our 1 year annervisery (SWMBO tells me its a big thing being together a year and it must be celebrated).

Looking for a place thats open on a Sunday and the minimum dress standards are dress pants and a button up shirt.

Anyone know of a place thats sorta what im looking for?

its perth! if you have to wear shoes, means its high class one of my favs at the moment is cocos on the river in south perth.... i've been to a few high class resturants here but didn't enjoy them so wont recommend them

Matilda Bay Restaurant does beautiful seafod - possibly the best I've had in Perth.

Champagne Bar at Must Wine Bar if u can afford it.

C restaurant (revolving restaurant up on Level 33 in the CBD) is great for views (will ensure you get looked after in the sack after you get home) - the food is pretty good, the wine and spirits list is lengthy, but the pricing is definitely up there on the expensive side. Be prepared to allow $250 to $350 for an all out night for 2, of 3 courses, pre dinner drinks and some cocktails.

I've had truly horrible experiences at Matilda Bay, couldn't recommend it to anyone. Except maybe Brendon.

Jacksons A+++ Very seriarse about their food in a fairly sniffy atmosphere. Great night, but not a stubbies and beater job (yes dress up). At $180 a head or so for the 7 course meal, it should get you laid.

Edit: This place, along with Table 78, would have to be the best place I have eaten in perth. Have never really rated the places everyone else seems to rave about, I find most of them to be overhyped, surviving on an inflated image rather than actual ability.

The French Laundry in Napa...oh wait, you said Perth.

Most places mentioned are good...but not sure how many of them will be open for dinner on Sunday. Two that werent mentioned and I really rate are Villa D'Este and Perugino, both in West Perth (not sure if open on a Sunday either).
