PSB members seem to be worldly and shit so I'm sure someone will know what I am talking about and where to buy them. I tried my local Asian supermarkets and neither have them. Anyone able to point me in the right direction?

I can probably arrange some yet nam coffee for you if you like it will be a few weeks though, one of my mates i work with lives there.

i acquired a taste for making coffee this way myself not long ago and loaded up on robusta and got some of those drippers in their airport.
vietnamese robusta coffee beans are what they are drinking. most popular grinding coffee sold in perth is aribica. caffeine content of robusta is 2x aribica. so the flavour is a double scoop of ground robusta into a short black espresso with either sugar or condensed milk to moderate the bitterness.
you should be able to find robusta free trade beans from vietnam from online traders.
Coffea canephora - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Coffea canephora (Robusta Coffee; syn. Coffea robusta) is a species of coffee which has its origins in central and western subsaharan Africa. It is mostly grown in Vietnam where French colonists introduced it in the late 19th century. Coffee robusta is also grown in Africa and Brazil, where it is often called conillon. In recent years Vietnam, which only produces robusta, has surpassed Brazil, India, and Indonesia to become the world's single largest exporter of robusta coffee.
