Sapphires are mined, what is everyone jibber jabering about?
They are also man made but I would hope you might get a Naturally made one for 1.6 mill.
My mum always used to say, when life hands you lemons "kill mob within spell duration with a soul gem of adequate quality for the mob's level to trap its soul"

Yes, sapphire is Aluminium Oxide (Al2O3), the non-gemstone version is called Corundum. The gemstone versions are sapphire (except if it's red it gets called ruby).
It can be either naturally mined or man made.
I used to be a gem collector, and have samples of both
In life you only get one lap, might as well make it a good one.
Buy my stuff, everything now half price - http://www.perthstreetbikes.com/foru...woofer-144818/

It would be man made though wouldn't it.
Don't Rolex's use synthetic or man made sapphire?
Wes

Not wanted to lecture, but I'm a gemmologist and passionate about gems. If you want to know more about them, just shoot a pm.
cheers Alex.
Finally arrived. I have been waiting for this for a while.
Our very own Expeditionary Superhero, Officer Down, put me onto Suunto as the ducks nuts in outdoor watches. This Suunto Core tells me when a storm is coming, barometer reading and trend, logs my skydives, tells me the temp, depth, date, time, compass bearing, stopwatch, etc etc.
It is a big face, but easy to use all features, and there is a reference to the readings on the hidden running features on any face for quick reference. Fully customisable buttons, menus etc.

I'm a bit of a watch whore. Got me a Longines Grand Clasique

a fairly old Tissot T-Touch

and an older Citizen Blue Angels thingybob watch..

funny enough I only wear a watch on special occasions, and then, generally the longines.
The perfect watch should have; a white face, Roman numerals (despite IIII not being a Roman numeral), gold and make a ticking noise.
I found such a watch a few years ago and came this, ][, close to owning it, I even got a quote and then a property deal turned ugly.
Just wait my precious, I am still coming for you.

I like white faces, not a big fan of roman numerals though... Doesn't look so good on more modern styles..

*IF* I had far more money than sense I'd be getting myself one of these...

Probably is, its close enough though, I couldn't find the genuine pic on my computer.

Nope, it's real... Checked on the rolex site ahahaha...
In other news, I seem to like breitling watches best... This would probably be my pic

This is from the rolex site... They seem to use "IIII" instead of "IV"... There are discussions about it:
Precision Timepieces: Rolex Roman IV, or rather IIII
The IIII balances the face if I recall. I think all watches and clocks do it just as they carefully arrange the hands. Thatd a pretty watch too. The Datejust was going yo cost about ten grand a few years ago.

Yea, I have just realised that the watches I like aren't the cheapesthaha... Some cheap good looking no name brands on eBay though... Not sure how long they would last though... But I could replace one every year for 40 years and still pay less for the new breitling
AND I can afford to change my mind on what I like every year
