I have an irritatingly Ye Olde Welsh first name that was hardly a commodity when I was a youngen, but I wouldn't change it.

My name itself is fine, but I have the same name as my father, and it's confusing and annoying as fuck for anyone mailing, emailing or telephoning.

Actually, thinking about this, no one (apart from Police and Judges) uses my first name. I have always been known by my middle name for similar reasons to those expressed by Mr Ferris Jr.

I like my name, or rather I like the shortened version of my name, so the parents did ok.
Thankfully, no one ever uses the full version.

To be honest, I don't react to the full version, unless I know I have done something wrong and am about to be busted for it!

meh it's just a name, so saying I don't like it shortened, the other half though, gets mighty pissed if his full name is used, more so if he's been introduced with his shortened name

I would change my entire name to Ian Maxwell Awesome. This way I could alternativemy be called Max Awesome, I M Awesome or just Mr Awesome.

When I get tired of the fame I'll just go by Ian which is an OK name I guess..

A kid from my school, had a son recently his name is N. Power his son is Maxamillian Power. Love it.
I like mine, but sometimes I wish I was a Cam, just to confuse people on PSB and possibly use this confusion as an alibi.

My sister abhors the long version of her name; she demands it only be used if in trouble (Rebekah/Bec). I should probably change my first name to match my ring tone... "Alan, Alan, Alan, Alan, Alan, Alan... maybe thats not Alan?" My parents decided to be fancy and spell my name in a way that's easily confusable with the female equivalent (Deane/Deanne)
...but I've learned to live with it, so it stays.
